Alexander A. Parikh, MD, FACS

Dr. Parikh is assistant professor of surgery in the Division of Surgical Oncology and clinical director of the Jim Ayers Institute for Precancer Detection and Diagnosis at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee. He received his doctor of medicine from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, Philadelphia. Dr. Parikh's interests include the management of cancers of the gastrointestinal and biliary tract with a focus on clinical and translational research in biologic and combination therapies, including anti-angiogenic strategies. He has written numerous articles on the topic, including publications in Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery, Seminars in Oncology, and Cancer.
