Tony and Christy Leonard were married in 2007 and have 5 boys. Tony was diagnosed with Stage IIIC stomach cancer in Feb 2012 when he was 39 years old.  There was no way Christy was going to leave his side.  After a total gastrectomy on their son Aydin's birthday, Feb 24, chemo-radiation, and more chemo, he was deemed cancer free!!!  Tony and Christy are not new to tragedy.  100 days after Tony lost his brother to a heart attack, Christy lost her brother to lung cancer.  Tony and Christy say, "We believe that life is short, and you must always stay positive."  They found Debbie's Dream Foundation and wanted to give back. The Leonard's host an annual DDF Golf Tournament and were the first to have their state proclaim November as Curing Stomach Cancer Month. In 2013, their son, Austin then 12 years old, wrote Senator Burr asking him to support stomach cancer. That same year, Christy and Tony participated in the first DDF Advocacy Day and have continued to do so each year. In March of 2017 Tony and Christy learned that Tony's cancer had returned to his spleen, pancreas, and colon.  Tony is now on palliative chemotherapy every other week.  This recurrence has only strengthened their motivation to finding a cure. They hope to continue providing support to family, friends and DDF.
